Write rough draft of "My Favorite Character" essay. When finished give your paper to someone to check. The checker must fill out your checklist, circle spelling errors, circle unclear sentences, and cross out the "no-no's."

No-No's

1. Don't repeat the thesis in the body paragraphs.

2. Don't repeat yourself in the body paragraphs.

3. Never say:

In this essay I'm going to be talking about...
In this paragraph I'm going to be writing about...
